Heritage, History, and Justice at Agra - Serving the community for generations
A legacy of justice spanning two centuries in the historic city of Agra
Sadar Dewani Adalat & Sadar Nizamat Adalat was established in this historic building, marking the beginning of organized judicial administration in the region. This laid the foundation for the modern judicial system in Agra.
The Hon'ble High Court was established by Letters Patent of Her Majesty, dated the 17th of March 1866, and was initially located in this very building. This marked a significant milestone in the judicial history of Uttar Pradesh.
The Hon'ble High Court was shifted to Allahabad in the year 1869. Thereafter, this historic building became the Court of District Judge Agra, continuing its legacy of justice.
Major renovation work was completed in the month of March 2013, and the District Judge's Court recommenced operations from this restored heritage building, blending historical significance with modern judicial facilities.
